Our KR556 model is a piston-operated AR-15 platform rifle that offers significant advantages over traditional gas-operated AR-15 rifles. While fully compatible with AR-15 components, its unique mechanism ensures a more stable and efficient operation. The rotating bolt head, supported by a spring, provides smoother performance compared to conventional systems.

Thanks to the piston system, the firing pin does not leave a mark on the primer, unlike traditional gas-operated AR-15 models where such marks are common. This is a clear indicator of the KR556’s cleaner operation.

The barrel-mounted piston drives the bolt carrier group without channeling combustion gas directly into the action. As a result, most of the gas and carbon residue is expelled outside. This design delivers three major benefits:

In contrast, conventional gas-operated AR-15 rifles direct gas into the action to cycle the system, causing the bolt carrier and rotating bolt head to remain dirty, which requires more frequent cleaning. The KR556’s piston system eliminates this drawback, making it stand out clearly from its competitors.
